The design detail of this pot comes in the style of the rim, the double "ruffle" ornamated rim is a traditional flower pot style made in Cornwall England. Many of the 19th century immigrants to Wisconsin were from Cornwall, they settled near the town of Galena IL which had rich soil and perfect pottery making conditions.
