👋 A B O U T
One of the most exquisite antique gowns I have ever had to privilege to offer! Direct from the estate of the original owner who wore it as her wedding gown in 1911. This silk Edwardian wedding gown was inspired by the Regency era and features an empire waist typical of that time period. Couture made with hand stitched seams and accented with antique Brussels pointe de gaze lace. The gown is made of multiple layers of silk- the interior being a light-weight silk while the outer layer is a much heavier weight silk satin. A fine net "apron" decorates the front and back and is embroidered with silk floss in a lily pattern. The train on the gown is weighted with a heavy hem chain on the interior of the skirt. The interior of the dress is every bit as detailed as the inside. The waist has a built in corset and a series of hook and eyes are used for closure. Please see notes on condition and keep in mind this is a rare heirloom piece. Still quite wearable but also a great piece for display.
I have photographs of the brides wedding scrapbook that details the fabrics used for her wedding as well as a picture of her wearing the gown with her husband.

Material: silk satin outer layer, delicate silk lining, embroidered net, Brussels lace, weights in the hem.
Condition: A note on the condition, the outer layer of the gown is in excellent condition, a few stains on the skirt that we have been able to remove (which is a miracle in itself!) The silk satin fabric on the outside is in remarkably good condition, very strong and sturdy. The interior silk slip however is starting to shard and will most likely need to be removed at some point. If you want this gown to wear I would recommend removing it and either wearing it without or replacing it with a newer silk slip. If you plan on displaying it as a piece of art it would be fine as it is.
All of our pieces are thoroughly inspected and repaired by our in house professional seamstress prior to shipping to ensure your garment is in ready to wear condition upon arrival.
